2. The present writ petition has been filed by the petitioner seeking promotion to the post of Sister Grade-I with effect from 03.03.2016.

3. Learned counsel for I.G.I.M.S. submits that during the pendency of the writ petition, the petitioner has been granted promotion to the post of Senior Nursing Officer with effect from

Patna High Court CWJC No.5220 of 2016(7) dt.22-04-2025 2/2 12.12.2023, vide notification contained in Memo No. 5829/Admin dated 12.12.2023, which is annexed as AnnexureD to the supplementary counter affidavit dated 03.04.2025 filed on behalf of respondent no. 3.

4. In response, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that a representation/legal notice seeking promotion with effect from 03.03.2016 is pending before the competent authority. However, despite such request, the authorities of I.G.I.M.S. have granted promotion only from 12.12.2023.

5. In this background, this Court directs the respondent - I.G.I.M.S., through its Director to take an appropriate decision on the petitioner's claim, particularly with respect to the request for promotion w.e.f. 03.03.2016. If the petitioner is found not entitled, the Director shall pass a reasoned and speaking order within 90 days from the date of production or receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the aforesaid observation and direction, the writ petition stands disposed off.
