The petitioner is seeking regular bail in Hilsa P.S. Case No. 743/2017 (G.R. No. 2371/2017) registered for the offence under Sections 341, 323, 379, 504, 506/34 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 27 of the Arms Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the allegation of theft of paddy crop is false and has been levelled only because the parties have land disputes and they are said to be co-villagers. The petitioner has no criminal antecedent. Learned counsel for the State is present.
