The petitioner being the husband of the daughter of the informant is apprehending his arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 304B and 201 of the Indian Penal Code.
The prosecution case is of killing the daughter of the informant after two years of marriage for nonfulfillment of the dowry demand. It is specifically alleged that on 15.06.2015 the petitioner brought the daughter of the informant from her parents' house to in-laws house and killed her on 30.06.2015.
It is submitted by learned counsel for the
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.12679 of 2016 (2) dt.18-03-2016 2/2 petitioner that only on suspicion the accusation has been levelled. The informant has subsequently retracted from the initial version and filed a petition to that effect before the learned court below.
Considering the nature of accusation, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner in connection with Govindganj P.S. Case No. 188 of 2015 pending in the court of learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Motihari, District - East Champaran.
Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.
