JUSTICE SUDHIR SINGH ORAL JUDGMENT (Per: HONOURABLE THE ACTING CHIEF JUSTICE) Date: 07-02-2017 The grievance of the petitioner is that in spite of invocation of jurisdiction of the Circle Officer in terms of the Bihar Public Land Encroachment Act, 1956, the Circle Officer has not finally decided the issue of encroachments and that encroachments are continuing over the public land.

After hearing learned counsel for the parties, we deem it appropriate to direct the Circle Officer to decide the petition for eviction of unauthorized occupants in accordance with law

Patna High Court CWJC No.5835 of 2016 dt.07-02-2017 2/2 expeditiously, preferably within a period of six months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order. With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition stands disposed of.
