1. Heard learned counsel for the petitioners and learned A.P.P. for the State.

2. The petitioners seek bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 8, 20(b)(ii)(c), 25 and 29 of the NDPS Act.

3. This is the second attempt of the petitioners to seek bail in a case registered under the NDPS Act wherein recovery of Ganja is of commercial quantity.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the trial has commenced and out of ten witnesses, five prosecution witnesses have been examined.

5. Since the case has been registered under the NDPS Act and the trial is in progress as such the Court is not inclined

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.17205 of 2024(2) dt.10-04-2024 2/2 to release the petitioners on bail in connection with Sasaram Mufassil P.S. Case No. 96 of 2021 (NDPS Case No. 03 of 2021) pending in the Court of learned Additional Sessions Judge-V, Rohtas at Sasaram/Successor Court.

6. The Court expects that the trial of the case shall be concluded expeditiously and if possible within a period of one year from today.
