Petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offence punishable under Section 376 of the Indian Penal Code. The allegation against the petitioner is that he ravished to the daughter of the informant.
Submission is that the parties are close relations and they have compromised the matter. Further submission is that the petitioner was on duty on the alleged date and time of occurrence which would be evident from the attendance register of the petitioner produced with the supplementary affidavit. Considering the nature of allegation against the petitioner, I am not inclined to enlarge him on bail in connection with Darbhanga G.R.P. Police Station Case No. 108 of 2016
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.5296 of 2018 (2) dt.01-02-2018 2/2 pending in the court of learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (Railway), Samastipur.
Hence, prayer for bail is refused.
Learned trial court is directed to expedite and conclude the trial preferably within a period of six months. (Birendra Kumar, J) Kundan/- U T
