The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 148, 149, 341, 342, 323, 302, 504 of the Indian Penal Code and 3(2)(v) of SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act. The prosecution case is that on 04.09.2015 at 6.00 A.M. the informant learnt that his son Navin Paswan was brutally assaulted at the house of Amresh Rai. It is alleged that there was dispute with regard to giving LIC papers by the accused persons including the petitioner leading to assault of the son of the informant, Navin Paswan and snatching of rupees thirty thousand, who subsequently succumbed to the injuries.

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.12687 of 2016 (2) dt.18-03-2016 2/2 The impugned order suggests that the witnesses have supported the prosecution case. Considering the nature of accusation, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner in connection with Matihani P.S. Case No. 137 of 2015 pending in the court of learned Special Judge (SC/ST), Begusarai. Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is rejected.
