At the outset, the learned counsel for the opposite parties submits that in compliance of the order of this Court dated 20.08.2019 passed in CWJC No.16595 of 2019, the District Arms Magistrate, Bhojpur at Ara has written a letter dated 14.07.2025 to the petitioner stating therein that since the arms licence being possessed by him bearing Arms Licence No.765/83 was without UIN number, the same has been

Patna High Court MJC No.674 of 2020(4) dt.25-07-2025 2/2 cancelled, hence, the petitioner is required to file a fresh application for grant of arms licence.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner would file a fresh application for grant of arms licence, within a period of four weeks, as per the prescribed format, nonetheless, the District Magistrate/Arms Magistrate, Bhojpur at Ara be directed to consider the same in accordance with law and pass a reasoned and a speaking order, expeditiously.

In view of the aforesaid, I deem it fit and proper to dispose off the present petition with liberty to the petitioner to file appropriate application for grant of arms licence, after complying with the requisite formalities and in case such an application is filed before the District Magistrate/Arms Magistrate, Bhojpur at Ara within a period of four weeks from today, the same shall be considered in accordance with law and a reasoned and a speaking order shall be passed thereon, within a period of six weeks, thereafter.

5. The petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
