1. The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief(s):- "1. That this is an application for issuance of an appropriate writ, order or direction to the respondent no.2 for granting the Licence of Pistol in favour of the petitioner by issuing an appropriate direction."

2. At the outset, the learned counsel for the respondent-State seeks to file a counter affidavit, which is taken on record, wherein it has been stated that the application of the petitioner for grant of arms license is being processed and the District Magistrate, Rohtas at Sasaram shall definitely pass the final order, within a stipulated time frame, as is fixed by this

3. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the District Magistrate, Rohtas at Sasaram to consider the applications, filed by the petitioner for grant of arms license on 15.02.1995/04.02.2003 and finally on 19.10.2023, and pass a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order.

4. The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
