JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 04-08-2022 Though the present writ petition has been filed for grant of ex gratia payment in lieu of the death of the wife of the petitioner on account of Covid-19 infection, however, the learned counsel for the petitioner has sought liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the Additional Chief Secretary, Health Department, Government of Bihar, Patna for redressal of his aforesaid grievance and in this regard, he seeks to rely on a judgment, rendered by the Hon'ble Apex Court dated
Patna High Court CWJC No.4253 of 2022(4) dt.04-08-2022 2/2 19.1.2022 passed in Miscellaneous Application No. 1805 of 2021 in W.P (C) No. 539 of 2021. Liberty, so sought, is granted.
It is needless to state that in case, the petitioner approaches the Additional Chief Secretary, Health Department, Government of Bihar, Patna, by filing appropriate representation within a period of four weeks from today, the same shall be considered and disposed of, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks, thereafter. The writ petition stands disposed of on the aforesaid terms.
