2. The present writ application has been filed seeking direction upon the respondents, especially respondent no.2, the District Provident Fund Officer, Patna, to forthwith sanction and release the provident fund amount for the period July 1968 to August 1988 to the petitioner along with statutory and delayed interest.

3. A counter affidavit has been filed on behalf of the respondent no.2, the District Provident Fund Officer, Patna, copy

Patna High Court CWJC No.7746 of 2021 dt.13-12-2022 2/2 of which has been served upon the learned counsel for the petitioner today in the court itself.

4. Mr. Kumaresh Singh, by referring to the statements made in paragraph no.11 of the counter affidavit submits that on the basis of available A.G.B.T., the respondent no.2 made calculation of the remaining GPF amount of the petitioner and accordingly authorized the same vide authority letter no. 1176 dated 05.08.2022 amounting to Rs.5,87,590/- along with up-todate interest and as such the grievance of the petitioner has stood redressed.

5. At this juncture, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner may be given liberty to approach before the concerned respondent in case any grievance still survives.

6. In view of the averments made in the counter affidavit filed on behalf of the respondent no.2, as also the prayer made on behalf of the learned counsel for the petitioner, the present writ application stands disposed of with the aforesaid liberty.
