JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 13-05-2024 The present writ petition has been filed seeking the following relief:- "1. That this writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ order or direction including in the nature of mandamus commanding to the respondents to decide the arms appeal No. 122 of 2021 an earliest which is pending before the respondent no. 2 and issuance of a direction to take necessary action against the licensing authority for provide the arms license to the petitioner and/or pass appropriate order which the petitioner is entitled." 2.

At the outset, the learned counsel for the

Patna High Court CWJC No.3780 of 2024(2) dt.13-05-2024 2/2 petitioner seeks a direction upon the Commissioner, Patna Division, Patna to dispose off the pending appeal, filed by the petitioner, bearing Arms Appeal No.122 of 2021. 3.

The learned counsel for the respondent-State submits that in case the aforesaid appeal has not yet been disposed off, the same shall definitely be disposed off, within a stipulated time frame, as is fixed by this Court. 4.

Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, I deem it fit and proper to direct the Commissioner, Patna Division, Patna to dispose off the aforesaid appeal, filed by the petitioner, in case the same is still pending, by passing a reasoned and a speaking order, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks of receipt/production of a copy of this order. 5.

The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
