For the Petitioner/s : Mr. Rajeev Ranjan For the Opposite Party/s : Mr. Jai Narain Thakur ====================================================== CORAM: HONOURABLE MR. JUSTICE VINOD KUMAR SINHA ORAL ORDER 04-09-2017 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner.
This is an application for bail in connection with Sultanganj P.S. Case No. 140 of 2015, corresponding to Sessions Trial No. 632 of 2015, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 302/34 of the Indian Penal Code. Petitioner is named in the FIR and the case relates to triple murder.
Submission of learned counsel for the petitioner is that he has been made accused in this case only on suspicion and there is nothing against him and he is in custody since 24.6.2015. Heard learned APP also, who has opposed the prayer for bail.
Having heard both sides and from perusal of the
Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.33250 of 2017 (4) dt.04-09-2017 2/2 impugned order it appears that trial is likely to be concluded shortly, as such, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. However, learned trial court is directed to conclude the trial by conducting the same on regular basis as expeditiously as possible and at the same time, Superintendent of Police, Bhagalpur is directed to ensure the presence of the witnesses in court on the date fixed so that the trial be concluded at the earliest. With the above observation, this application is dismissed. (Vinod Kumar Sinha, J) spal/- U
