This application for grant of anticipatory bail arises out of Maharajganj P.S. Case No. 224 of 2012, disclosing offences under Section 366A of the Indian Penal Code.

From perusal of the statement of the victim under Section 164 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, I find that the victim has made specific allegation against the petitioner that after having taken victim into confidence, the petitioner and the other co-accused person took the victim to Siwan and handed her over to other co-accused persons. She is said to have been raped and sold to one Ramesh.

Considering the gravity of the offence, I am not

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.14062 of 2016 (3) dt.22-06-2016 2/2 inclined to grant the petitioner privilege of anticipatory bail. Accordingly, this application for anticipatory bail is, hereby, rejected.

The petitioner is directed to surrender before the court below within two weeks from today and seek regular bail, if so advised. If she does so, her application for regular bail shall be considered on its own merit without being prejudiced by rejection of present application for grant of anticipatory bail.
