The petitioner, who is in custody since 09.01.2020, seeks bail in connection with Excise Case No. 06 of 2020 (arising out of Chauri P. S. Case No. 167 of 2019 dated 31.12.2019) for the offence under Sections 30 (A) and 37(C) of the Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

From the accusation, it appears that the petitioner was found drunk and from the field of one Dadan Paswan, 140 litres of liquor is said to have been recovered.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.12643 of 2020(2) dt.06-03-2020 2/2 Regard being had to the nature of accusation against the petitioner, his period of custody and clean antecedents, he is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds in the sum of Rs. 10,000 /- (Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned 4th Additional District and Sessions Judge-cum-Special Judge, Excise Act, Bhojpur at Ara in connection with Excise Case No. 06 of 2020 arising out of Chauri P. S. Case No. 167 of 2019 dated 31.12.2019.

The application stands allowed.
