2. The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Agiaon Bazar P.S. Case No. 255 of 2021 registered for the offence under Sections 341, 323, 302, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code.

3. As per the prosecution case, the petitioner is the husband of the deceased. Their son, the informant, an eye witness, who has seen the petitioner hitting the deceased with the pressure cooker.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner may be granted bail considering the period of custody. The petitioner is in custody since 29.12.2021.

5. Learned counsel for the informant has vehemently opposed the prayer for bail and submitted that out of five witnesses, three witnesses have already been examined including the informant. He has taken this Court to the deposition of PW-1, in which it has come that the petitioner during trial has created disturbance and threatened the witnesses.

6. Considering the aforesaid facts, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.

7. Accordingly, this application for regular bail is hereby rejected.

8. If the trial is delayed by the prosecution, the petitioner may renew his prayer for bail.
