2. The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Kotwa P.S. Case No. 192/2023 lodged on 19.05.2023 under Sections 304B/302/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

3. As per the prosecution case, the FIR has been lodged against five named accused persons, including the present petitioner alleging therein that all the accused persons in connivance with each other have killed the daughter of the informant for non-fulfillment of further dowry demand.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner being the father-in-law of the deceased is innocent and has committed no offence and the husband of the deceased is already in custody. The petitioner claims to reside separately

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.17487 of 2024(2) dt.14-03-2024 2/2 from the deceased. Moreover, the allegation levelled against the petitioner in the FIR is omnibus and general. Learned counsel further submits that the anticipatory bail application of the petitioner was earlier rejected, therefore, he opted to surrender and he is in custody since 07.12.2023 having no criminal antecedent.

5. Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail.

In the present facts and circumstances of this case and the submissions made above, let the petitioner above named, be granted bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.30,000/- (Rupees Thirty thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned CJM, East Champaran, subject to the conditions as laid down under Section 437(3) of the Code of Criminal Procedure.
