JUSTICE ANJANI KUMAR SHARAN ORAL ORDER 15-03-2021 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner, learned counsel for the informant and learned APP for the State. The petitioner apprehends his arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498 A, 504, 506 & 354 of the Indian Penal Code and Section 3⁄4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act.

Vide order dated 12.01.2021, the petitioner was granted bail provisionally on his undertaking that he will keep the informant as wife with full honour and dignity. Today, learned counsel for the informant submitted that the petitioner has mentally and physically tortured and brutally assaulted the informant and any how the informant escaped from the place of occurrence to save her life and taken first aid from a doctor.

Having heard both the learned counsel, the provisional bail granted vide order dated 12.01.2021 passed in this case is hereby cancelled and the petitioner is directed to surrender before the learned Court below.

Accordingly, the prayer for anticipatory bail of the petitioner is hereby rejected.
