In this case, the petitioner is seeking regular bail in connection with Nautan P.S. Case No. 685 of 2022, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 30(A) of Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016 and section 413, 414 of the IPC.

As per allegation, 7.2 liters of illicit liquor was recovered from the vehicle of the petitioner. The learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that he is innocent and has falsely been implicated in this case. He is under custody since 20.12.2022.

Considering the above-mentioned facts and

No.13985 of 2023(2) dt.18-05-2023 2/2 circumstances, let the petitioner above-named be released on bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs.10,000/- with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Exclusive Special Judge Excise Bettiah, West Champaran in connection with Nautan P.S. Case No. 685 of 2022, subject to the following conditions:- (i) The petitioner shall cooperate in the disposal of trial and make himself available as and when required by the court.

(ii) Before accepting the bail bond of the petitioner, the learned court below shall verify his criminal antecedent and if it is found that the petitioner is involved in any other case except the present one and the cases mentioned in paragraph no. 3 of the bail petition, the learned court below shall not accept his bail bond.
