Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned A.P.P. for the State.

The petitioner seeks bail in connection with Chausa PS Case No. 237 of 2020 for the offences punishable under Sections 307, 302, 120B and 34 of the IPC and Section 27 of the Arms Act.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that this is the third attempt of the petitioner to seek regular bail. 4.

It is further submitted that out of 11 prosecution witnesses only six witnesses have been examined and the petitioner is languishing in judicial custody since 3-2-2021. 5.

The learned APP submits that one person was killed and allegation of killing the deceased is against 3 named accused persons, including the petitioner, out of 13 accused,

In view of the submission made by the learned APP, the court is not inclined to release the petitioner on bail. 7.

Accordingly, the prayer for regular bail of the petitioner is rejected.

However, the learned trial court is directed to expedite the trial and shall make all endeavors to conclude the trial within a period of 18 months from today. (Satyavrat Verma, J) SUMIT/- U T
