2. The petitioners seek bail in connection with Chanpatia P.S. Case No. 193 of 2024 dated 26.08.2024 registered for the offence punishable under Sections 80, 61(2), 238 of the Bhartiya Nyay Sanhita, 2023.
3. The prosecution case, in short, is that the daughter of the informant was married with the son of the petitioners. It is alleged that the petitioners and his other family members demanded a motorcycle from the daughter of the informant as additional dowry. On non-fulfillment of the same, they tortured her. It is further alleged that on 23.08.2024, the accused persons

4. Learned Counsel for the petitioners submits that the petitioners are innocent and have been falsely implicated in this case. It is submitted that petitioner no. 1 is father-in-law and petitioner no. 2 is mother-in-law of the deceased. It is submitted that there is no specific allegation against the petitioners rather the allegation is general and omnibus. It is submitted that petitioners resides separately from the husband of the deceased. It is submitted that deceased died due to ailment and on being instigated by some of the co-villagers, the informant has lodged the present case. It is further submitted that the husband of the deceased is in judicial custody. It is also submitted that the informant has filed an application dated 28.10.
2024 before learned Judicial Magistrate, West Champaran, Bettiah stating therein that he does not want to pursue the case. It is further submitted that elder brother of the husband of the deceased has been granted bail vide order dated 12.02.2025 passed in Criminal Miscellaneous No. 4287 of 2025 by this Court. The petitioners are in custody since 16.11.2024, having no criminal antecedent and charge-sheet has been submitted in the case.
5. Learned A.P.P for the State opposes the prayer for bail of the petitioners.

Having considered the facts and circumstances of the case and submissions of learned counsel for the parties, let the petitioners be released on bail upon furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- (ten thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Sessions Judge-Xth, Bettiah, West Champaran in connection with Chanpatia P.S. Case No. 193 of 2024.
