2. The petitioner, who is in custody since 23.12.2016, has renewed his prayer for bail in connection with Majhauliya P.S. Case No. 159 of 2015 for the offences alleged under Sections 147, 148, 149, 323, 302, 324, 307 and 504 of the Indian Penal Code having earlier been rejected by this Court by order dated 04.04.2017 in Criminal Miscellaneous No. 16629 of 2017.

A status report was called for by order dated 20.09.2017 which has since been received from learned Additional Sessions Judge-III, West Champaran at Bettiah, according to which the nonofficial prosecution witnesses have already been examined and only the Investigating Officer and the Doctor remain to be

4. Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner, this Court sees no reason to take a different view in the matter at this stage. The bail petition stands dismissed, however, with a direction to the learned Court below to expedite and conclude the trial without delay and in any event preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt/production of a copy of this order.
