JUSTICE VINOD KUMAR SINHA ORAL ORDER 08-02-2018 Earlier prayer for bail of the petitioner was rejected by this Court vide order, dated 08.09.2017, passed in Cr. Misc. No. 39659 of 2017 with a direction to the Court below to expedite the trial within four months.
Submission of the learned counsel for the petitioner is that he is in custody since 08.05.2017, but, substantive progress has been made in trial.
Having heard both sides in view of the facts and circumstances of the case, I am not inclined go grant bail to the petitioner. The prayer for bail is rejected. however, the learned trial Court is directed to expedite the commitment of the case and once commitment has been made and charge has been submitted, the learned trial Court, within a period of one year, from the date of framing of the charge conclude the trial.
With the aforesaid observations, this application is disposed of.
