In this case, the petitioner is seeking anticipatory bail in connection with Parsa Bazar P.S. Case No.362 of 2018, registered for the offence punishable under Section 30(a) of Bihar Prohibition and Excise Act, 2016.

The police on secret information raided the godown of one Rakesh Kumar and recovered huge quantity of illegal liquor, which was kept by the accused persons including the petitioner, however, co-accused Manoj Kumar was apprehended by the police and the petitioner fled away.

Looking to the quantity of liquor recovered, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for bail is rejected.

No.22523 of 2019(2) dt.10-04-2019 2/2 However, if the petitioner surrenders before the Court below within four weeks from today and prays for regular bail, the Court below will consider the same and pass appropriate order preferably on the same day without being influenced by the order of this Court.
