JUSTICE MOHIT KUMAR SHAH ORAL ORDER 20-12-2022 At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks permission to add the District Magistrate, Buxar as party respondent no. 8 to the present writ petition. Permission so sought, is granted.

The needful be done during the course of the day. The present writ petition has been filed seeking a direction upon the respondent authorities to pay ex-gratia compensation amount to the petitioner in lieu of death of the mother of the petitioner on account of Covid-19 infection.

Patna High Court CWJC No.4337 of 2022(2) dt.20-12-2022 2/2 At the outset, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks liberty on behalf of the petitioner to approach the District Magistrate, Buxar for redressal of his aforesaid grievance. Liberty so sought, is granted.

It is needless to state that in case, appropriate representation is filed within a period of four weeks from today, the District Magistrate, Buxar shall take appropriate action and in case, it is found that the mother of the petitioner had died due to Covid-19 infection, the ex-gratia amount shall be paid, forthwith.

The writ petition stands disposed off on the aforesaid terms.
