This is an application for bail in connection with Dalsingsarai P.S.Case No. 97 of 2017, G.R.No. 227 of 2017, registered for the offences punishable under Sections 30(a), 38(i)(ii), 39(a) and 41(1) of the Bihar Excise Amendment Act, 2016.

Allegation against the petitioner is of recovery of huge quantity of liquor, around 300 litres, from the vehicle in which they along with other accused persons were traveling. It has been submitted on behalf of the petitioners that they have nothing to do with the seized articles and they are in custody for three months having no criminal antecedent.

Having heard both sides and in view of recovery of huge quantity of liquor, I am not inclined to grant bail to the petitioners at this stage.

However, petitioners may renew their prayer for bail after framing of charge in this case or after completion of two months period in custody from today, whichever is earlier. With the above observation, this application is dismissed.
