JUSTICE SATYAVRAT VERMA ORAL ORDER 08-04-2022 Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and learned APP for the State through video conferencing. The petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Section 30(a) of the Excise Act, 2018.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner is in custody since 23.01.2022, charge-sheet has been submitted in this case and has antecedent of three cases. Allegation is of recovery of 27 litre of liquor from a plastic bag.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner was not arrested from the spot and later, his name was disclosed by the local Chaukidar with whom, he is on an inimical term. It is further submitted that the police falsely

Considering the fact that the petitioner is in custody, charge-sheet has been submitted in this case and was not arrested from the spot, the petitioner, above-named, is directed to be released on bail on his furnishing bail-bonds in the sum of Rs. 1,000/- (Rupees One Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned Court below where the case is pending in connection with Jadopur P. S. Case No.112 of 2021.

The application stands allowed.
