The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Belhar P.S. Case No. 196 of 2017 for the offences punishable under Sections 147, 148, 149, 427, 387 of the Indian Penal Code, Section 3(2)E of Prevention of Damages Public Property Act, 1984 and section 17 of C.L.A. Act.

The allegation is regarding the accused persons having demanded extortion money from the staff of the BSNL company and had also engaged in destruction of public property. The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has been falsely implicated in the present case. It is further submitted that through the petitioner is an accused in one other case, but he is on bail in the said case. The petitioner is

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.13926 of 2019(2) dt.06-03-2019 2/2 stated to be languishing in custody since 19.09.2018. Having regard to the facts and circumstances of the case, the petitioner, above named, is directed to be enlarged on regular bail on furnishing bail bonds of Rs. 10,000/- with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of learned A.C.J.M.-III, Banka in connection with Belhar P.S. Case No. 196 of 2017.
