Learned counsel for the petitioner is expected to honour his undertaking given in the instant case for depositing the requisite court fee and to remove the defects as pointed out by the office when called upon to do so by the office.
The petitioner is apprehending his arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 323, 354, 376, 511 of the Indian Penal Code. It is alleged against the petitioner that the

No.24263 of 2021(2) dt.19-01-2022 2/2 petitioner being brother-in-law (Dewar) of the informant made an attempt to ravish the informant and when she protested, she was brutally assaulted by the petitioner. It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioner that in the background of some land dispute, the occurrence has taken place. There is no medical report on record to prove the prosecution version. Considering the fact that there is direct allegation against the petitioner and the witnesses have supported the prosecution version as gets reflected from paragraphs 5, 6 and 7 of the case diary, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. The prayer for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner stands rejected.
