JUSTICE JYOTI SARAN ORAL ORDER 12-07-2016 Heard Mr. Randhir Singh, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Nadeem Seraj learned G.P.20 for the State. The petitioner prays for an appropriate direction to the Regional Transport Authority, Muzaffarpur to dispose of his application filed for renewal of his Permit No.130 of 1998 which has been filed in the prescribed format along with the requite fee as back as on 5.6.2013 in relation to the route Muzaffarpur to Darbhanga Via Bochaha Block, Maithi More, Benibad for two trips (up and down) and is relatable to bus No. BR-06P-6139. It is in consideration of the nature of relief prayed that when this matter was taken up on 5.7.2016, Mr. Seraj learned counsel for the State was asked to ascertain the current status of the matter, since the application of the petitioner was pending for more than 3

Patna High Court CWJC No.8922 of 2016 (3) dt.12-07-2016 2/2 years with the Regional Transport Authority, Muzaffarpur. The matter has thereafter come up today when it is informed by Mr. Seraj, learned State counsel, that the application has been acted upon by the Regional Transport Authority and notices have been issued to the petitioner and other concerned who have raised objections and the matter is fixed for 28.7.2016. Mr. Seraj while accepting that there has been some delay in disposal submits that efforts are on to dispose of the matter expeditiously.

Having heard learned counsel for the parties and considering that the grievance raised, has been taken up by the Regional Transport Authority, Muzaffarpur all that this Court would do is to direct the Regional Transport Authority, Muzaffarpur to take the issue to its logical conclusion and dispose of the same in accordance with law within a maximum period of six weeks after opportunity of hearing to the petitioner and concerned objectors, if any. Since it is informed by Mr. Seraj that notices have been issued in this direction, the petitioner shall ensure his appearance on 28.7.2016 before the Regional Transport Authority, Muzaffarpur, and cooperate in expeditious disposal of the matter.

The writ petition is disposed of.
