Petitioner seeks bail in a case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 304B/34 of the Indian Penal Code.

Petitioner is husband of the victim of dowry death. There is allegation of demand of dowry and torture for the same. Petitioner is in custody since 25.07.2017. Submission is that when the informant came to know the reality of death of his daughter, he has filed a petition before the court below.

The allegation is of commission of death by hanging. There is no dispute that death was caused within three years of marriage in unnatural circumstances might be a suicidal death but there is allegation of demand of dowry. Hence, I am not

Patna High Court Cr.Misc. No.10830 of 2018 (3) dt.11-04-2018 2/2 inclined to enlarge the petitioner on bail in connection with G.B. Nagar Police Station Case No. 151 of 2017 pending in the court of learned Chief Judicial Magistrate, Siwan.

Hence, prayer for bail is refused.

However, the learned trial court is directed to expedite the trial.
