The petitioners being the brother's wife and nephew of the husband of the daughter of the informant are apprehending arrest in a case registered for the offences punishable under Section 304B of the Indian Penal Code.

The accusation is of killing the daughter of the informant within 5 years of marriage for non-fulfillment of dowry demand.

It is submitted by learned counsel for the petitioners that the victim died due to accidental burn injury. The husband of petitioner no.1 also received injury while rescuing the victim. The victim was given medical assistance and the petitioners claim to be separate from the family members of the victim.
