2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner's prayer for bail was earlier rejected vide order dated 29.05.2024 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 32739 of 2024. Thereafter, the present application has been filed on the ground that the trial has not been concluded as yet.

Learned APP for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that there is a specific allegation against the petitioner that he fired a gunshot with a pistol at the chest of the informant's husband, resulting in his death. It is further submitted that, on the earlier occasion, a report regarding the present stage of the trial and the expected time frame for its

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.14478 of 2025(3) dt.20-06-2025 2/2 conclusion was called for. Upon perusal of the said report, it appears that the trial is presently at the stage of prosecution evidence and, out of eight prosecution witnesses, five have already been examined.

4. Learned counsel for the informant submits that the informant has supported the prosecution case.

5. In view of the aforesaid facts and circumstances, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for bail of the petitioner in connection with Sessions Trial No. 363 of 2023 arising out of Rajpur P.S. Case No. 262 of 2023, pending before the Court of learned Additional District and Sessions Judge-II, Buxar, is hereby rejected.

6. However, the trial court is directed to make all efforts to conclude the trial expeditiously.
