The petitioner seeks bail in Pranpur P.S. Case No. 158 of 2016 registered for the offences punishable under Sections 25(1-b)a, 26 and 35 of the Arms Act.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that one country made pistol with three live cartridges were recovered from the possession of the petitioner and for that the petitioner is in jail since 17.12.2016.

The petitioner has already remained in jail for 61⁄2 months and he has got no criminal antecedent as stated in paragraph-3 of the bail petition. Similarly situated co-accused Parichit Singh has already been enlarged on bail vide order dated 08.04.2017 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 11681 of 2017.
