JUSTICE ASHUTOSH KUMAR ORAL ORDER 18-03-2021 Heard Mr. Mukesh Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. Manish Chandra Gandhi for the informant. The State is represented by Mr. Arun Kumar Singh-5, learned APP.

The petitioner seeks bail in anticipation of his arrest in connection with Jandaha P.S. Case No. 220 of 2019 dated 09.09.2019 instituted for the offences under Sections 341, 323, 307, 504 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code.

The petitioner and others are said to have assaulted the informant and other members of his family.

The anticipatory bail petition of one of the accused persons has been rejected by a Bench of this Court.

Regard being had to the nature of accusation against the petitioner, I am not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to him.

The prayer for anticipatory bail is rejected. Should the petitioner surrender before the court below and seek bail, that application shall be considered on its own merits without being prejudiced by the fact that the present petition has not been entertained.
