JUSTICE ASHUTOSH KUMAR ORAL ORDER 03-03-2020 The petitioner, who is in custody since 02.01.2020 and is a person of clean antecedents, seeks bail in connection with Karpi P.S. Case No. 260 of 2019 dated 29.12.2019 instituted for the offence under Section 379 of the Indian Penal Code.

It appears that there was a theft in the house of the informant and the stolen generator set was recovered from the petitioner.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he had purchased the aforesaid generator set in second hand from one Monu Kumar without knowing that it was a stolen property.
