2. The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with S.Tr. No.32 of 2024 arising out of Chakai P.S. Case No.160 of 2021 lodged under Sections 302 & 120B of the IPC read with Section 27 of the Arms Act.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the bail application of the petitioner has earlier been rejected vide order dated 08.05.2024 passed in Cr. Misc. No.9998 of 2024 with direction to expedite the trial and conclude the same within 9 months.

4. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that the petitioner is in custody since 16.09.2023 only on suspicion and present stage of the trial has been called for. He

5. Learned counsel for the State opposes the prayer for bail and submits that progress report has been called for. In the report, it has been intimated that there were in total 12 prosecution witnesses in this case, but only 4 witnesses have been examined and trial court has reported that upon repeated direction to the prosecution, examination of rest 8 witnesses could not take place.

6. It transpires to this Court that speedy trial is constitutional vision of justice. As such, it is hereby directed to the Superintendent of Police, Jamui to do the needful and direct the SHO/I.O. of this case to produce the witnesses before the trial court for adducing evidence within 6 months from the date of production of this order.

7. In the present facts and circumstances of this case and the submissions made above, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner at present. Therefore, the bail application of the petitioner is hereby rejected.

8. Nine months' time is hereby granted to the trial court as demanded to conclude the trial.

9. However, Registry is directed to communicate this

No.21247 of 2025(4) dt.25-07-2025 3/3 order forthwith to the Superintendent of Police, Jamui through E-mail, Whatsapp etc. Registry is further directed to hand over a copy of this order to learned A.P.P., Mr. Jagdhar Prasad, who shall communicate this order to the Superintendent of Police, Jamui at his level.
