Petitioner had duped the innocent villagers, more particularly, the female folk on the pretext of note doubling. A query has been made as to whether the petitioner is ready to deposit the amount whereupon, learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that he happens to be illiterate and so is unable to deposit the amount.
Prayer for bail is rejected.
