Petitioner seeks bail in connection with Kotwali P.S. Case No. 57 of 2016 registered for the offence punishable under sections 181, 193, 199, 419, 420, 468, 471 and 120B of the Indian Penal Code.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that petitioner has not committed any offence as alleged in the first information report. Petitioner was not aware about the illegal method adopted in obtaining bail order. Petitioner has been remanded in this case on 19.12.2017 and since then he is languishing in custody. Learned Addl. P.P. appearing for the State

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.13491 of 2020(2) dt.02-03-2020 2/2 opposes the prayer for bail and submits that petitioner is named accused and the informant in his restatement has supported the prosecution case. Moreover, petitioner does not possess clean criminal history.

Considering the nature of allegations levelled, the materials available on record and the submissions advanced on behalf of the parties, this Court does not find it to be a fit case for grant of bail to the petitioner. The same is, therefore, rejected.
