Petitioners, already in custody, seek bail in connection with Mehandia PS Case No.09 of 2017, registered under Sections 379 and 414 of the Indian Penal Code as well as under Sections 11(i) (k) of the Prevention of Animal Cruelty Act. Allegation in brief is that several buffaloes and bulls have been recovered from the house of the petitioners. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that there is no allegation of theft of those cattle and similarly situated other co-accused named in the FIR have been admitted to bail by coordinate Benches of this Court and petitioners are not named in the FIR and has no previous antecedent.
