Patna High Court CWJC No.5785 of 2019 dt.12-04-2019 2/3 Date : 12-04-2019 Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners and the State.
2. The petitioners are aggrieved by the fact that even though they were declared successful in Physical Evaluation Test, they have not been appointed as Home Guards for which they had applied against the advertisement which was issued in the year 2011, despite the posts remaining vacant till date.

Learned counsel for the petitioners has drawn the attention of this Court to an order passed by the Public Grievance Redressal Officer, Kaimur at Bhabhua, who has taken note of the fact that as against 295 vacancies, only 253 persons have been appointed as Home Guards, who also have not been sent for training. While disposing off the complaint of the petitioners, it has also observed that after the successful candidates obtain training and get posted, efforts should be made to fill up the rest of the posts for which advertisement had been issued.
4. Strengthened by this order, the petitioners have filed representation before the Commandant General, Home
Patna High Court CWJC No.5785 of 2019 dt.12-04-2019 3/3 Guards, Government of Bihar, Patna but such representation has not been responded to.
5. Under the aforesaid circumstances, this Court directs the petitioners to make a fresh representation before the Commandant General, Home Guard, Bihar, Patna within a period of four weeks from today, who, on receipt of the same, shall look into the matter and if desirable would pass necessary orders in accordance with law towards taking of steps for filling up the vacant posts which was advertised.
With the aforesaid observation / direction, this petition stands disposed off.
