The writ application has been filed seeking a direction commanding the respondents authorities to enter the petitioner's Arms License issued from the District- Wokha, State of Nagaland, in the external register of Rohtas district and, as also, to consider and grant of renewal of the same in accordance with law.

Counsel for the petitioner submits that despite completion of all necessary formalities, the petitioner's license has not been entered in the external register till date and, in this connection, the petitioner has also made an application on 03.02.2026 for redressal of his grievance before the District

Patna High Court CWJC No.4170 of 2026(2) dt.11-05-2026 2/2 Arms Magistrate, Rohtas, Sasarma but, till date, the same is still pending adjudication.

4. On the other hand, learned counsel for the State submits that since the application has already been made by the petitioner, the competent authority is required to adjudicate the same by passing an appropriate order in accordance with law.

In view of the submissions made on behalf of the parties, the respondent authorities are directed to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application by taking a decision for entering the petitioner's valid Arms Licence, issued by the District Wokha, State of Nagaland, in the external register of Rohtas district, as well as for renewal of the said arms licence, in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from today, if there is no legal impediment in adjudicating the petitioner's claim.

6. With the aforesaid observations and directions, the instant writ application stands disposed.
