The petitioner has filed the present writ application for issuance of appropriate writ(s), order(s) or direction commanding the respondents for issuance of arms licence of DBBL gun in favour of the petitioner as the father of the petitioner, who was the holder of arms licence, died on 4.6.2007 and after his death, the aforesaid gun has been deposited with M/S Hindustan Arms, dealer in Arms and Ammunitions at Sasaram and regular annual required fees is being paid by the petitioner and in this connection after submitting application for issuance of licence in favour of the petitioner, all the formalities have been completed and after due enquiry in all respect, the

Patna High Court CWJC No.5646 of 2019(2) dt.27-03-2019 2/2 authority concerned have already sent their report to the respondent no. 2 wherein recommendation for issuance of arms licence in favour of the petitioner has been made but unfortunately the same has not yet been issued in favour of the petitioner.

The petitioner had applied for arms licence under Rule 25 of the Arms Aules, 2016 vide Annexure-1 series to the present application. The said application is pending till date. If any such application filed on behalf of the petitioner under Rule 25 of the Arms Rules, 2016 is pending, the respondent no. 2 (the District Magistrate, Rohtas at Sasaram) shall dispose of the said application within a period of four months from the date of receipt/production of this order. With the aforesaid observation/direction, the present writ application stands disposed of.
