JUSTICE MADHURESH PRASAD ORAL ORDER 08-08-2019 Counsel for the petitioners places reliance on the decision of this Court in the case of Prabhakar Prasad Singh vs. State of Bihar & ors arising out of CWJC No. 4835 of 2019. Petitioners' Counsel submits that qualification of the petitioners is Graduate in Silk Technology required to be recognised as equivalent to Graduate in Agriculture by the respondent authorities for the purpose of empanelment for appointment as Block Technical Manager.

The issue in the case of another person, who was claiming recognition of his same qualification, has been left to be agitated before the department for consideration in respect of

The decision in the case of Prabhakar Prasad Singh (supra) relied upon by the petitioners has allowed opportunity to the petitioners to approach the Principal Secretary Department of Agriculture for consideration of his claim for parity. Relevant paragraph of the order passed in the case of Prabhakar Prasad Singh (supra) is being reproduced:-

4. The claim of the petitioner for being considered is based on two factual aspects. It has been submitted that Sericulture definitely comes within the category of allied subjects, which has been taken note of/recognized by NMAET and ICAR and that study in Sericulture/Silk Technology has been made one of the subjects in such Organizations in different States including the State of Jharkhand and under the Union of India. In view of the fact that the petitioners' Counsel is also seeking same liberty, no adjudication is required in the instant proceeding. Matter is being disposed of so as to enable the petitioners also to approach the Principal Secretary of the Department of Agriculture.

The writ petition stands disposed of.
