The petitioner seeks bail in Andharamath P.S. Case No.149 of 2019 registered under Sections 379, 356 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code.

The informant lodged the case against four unknown persons and alleged that accused persons at the point of pistol snatched his bag containing laptop and other articles including the Hero Splendor Plus motorcycle.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner is not named in the F.I.R. Nothing has been recovered from the possession of the petitioner. The name of the petitioner figured in the case in the confessional statement of co-accused. Petitioner has not been put on T.I.P. Petitioner is in jail since 30.11.2019.

Patna High Court CR. MISC. No.16284 of 2020(2) dt.02-06-2020 2/2 Learned A.P.P. however opposed the prayer for bail. Taking into consideration the facts aforesaid and nature of allegation made against the petitioner and the fact that petitioner is in jail for more than six months, let the petitioner, above named, be released on bail on furnishing bail bond of Rs.10,000/-(Rupees Ten Thousand) with two sureties of the like amount each to the satisfaction of the learned Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, Jhanjharpur(Madhubani) in connection with Andharamath P.S. Case No.149 of 2019, corresponding to G.R. No.1621/2019.
