2. The grievance of the petitioner is that in spite of there being a vacancy in Gram Panchayat, South Telhua, Block Nautan, District- West Champaran, the authorities are not taking any steps to appoint any PDS dealer.

3. Learned counsel has stated that though the villagers as well as the petitioner have given several representations to the authorities concerned, the licensing authority is not considering the same. Therefore, learned counsel for the petitioner seeks a direction from this Hon'ble Court to direct the licensing authority to consider the

Patna High Court CWJC No.5914 of 2019(2) dt.30-01-2024 2/3 representation made by the petitioner and notify the vacancy for Gram Panchayat, South Telhua, Block Nautan, District- West Champaran.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the Respondents has stated that though the petitioner has filed representation before this Hon'ble Court (Annexue 7), there is no endorsement from the authority concerned that they have received the said representation. However, learned counsel has stated that the petitioner may be directed to give a fresh representation to the authority concerned and on such representation being made, the authority concerned shall consider the representation in accordance with law.

Having regard to the above made submissions, the present writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the petitioner to give a fresh representation ventilating his grievance to the licensing authority who is Sub-Divisional Officer, Bettiah Sadar, West Champaran (Respondent No.3) within a period of four weeks from today.

6. On such representation being given, the authorities concerned shall consider the same and pass orders strictly in accordance with law. The entire exercise shall be completed as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of eight
