18-06-2015 The sole petitioner, apprehending his arrest in connection with Terhagachh P.S. Case no.19 of 2015 registered for the offence under Section 409 of the Indian Penal Code, has prayed for grant of anticipatory bail.

It appears that the petitioner in the capacity of Panchayat Sachiv had taken advance of Rs.8, 75,000/- in the year 2009 for construction of Samudaiek Bhawan under BRGRF Scheme. However, he did not complete the work and some of the amount was refunded after lapse of several years. In view of nature of accusation, I do not find any ground for extending the privilege of anticipatory bail. The petition stands dismissed.
