JUSTICE SANJEEV PRAKASH SHARMA ORAL ORDER 20-04-2023 The petitioner, by way of this writ petition, has prayed as under:- "(a) For issuance of appropriate writ commanding and directing the respondent authorities to reinstate the electric connection of the petitioner by rectifying the bill of the petitioner bearing his consumer account No.-

Patna High Court CWJC No.4670 of 2023(2) dt.20-04-2023 2/3 MJHMLP 72 A arising out of old Consumer No.- MJH7715065 while the new consumer No.- 11720015051, as the situation arises due to the reason that the electric Bill of the petitioner's consumer No.- has been calculated in DS2 Category while the village of the petitioner comes under DS1 category and further the bill dispute comes in picture due to none connectivity of the power supply for about one and half years due to the damaged transformer. (b) For a direction to take action against the responsible Respondents who have not followed the situation and have never bothered to take care of the representation filed by the petitioner for the redressal of her grievances. (c) For the issuance of any other Relief/Relief's to which the petitioner may found entitled to in the facts and circumstances of the present facts and circumstances of the case in favor of the petitioner."

2. Since, an alternative remedy is available to the petitioner to approach the Consumer Grievances Redressal Forum, formed under Section 42(5) of the Electricity Act, which is functioning in the State of Bihar, the petitioner is granted liberty to approach the said forum for redressal of his grievance. If such an application is moved, the concerned forum shall decide the same expeditiously within a period of thirty days of its filing.

3. Granting such liberty to the petitioner, the present application is dismissed.
