2. The petitioner seeks regular bail in connection with Deepnagar P.S. Case No. 231 of 2023, dated 25.05.2023, lodged under Sections 498(A), 304(B), 201 & 34 of the Indian Penal Code, and under Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, pending before the Court of Additional District & Sessions Judge 3rd, Bihar Sharif, Nalanda.
3. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the bail application of the petitioner has earlier been rejected vide order dated 20.02.2024 passed in Cr. Misc. No. 9017 of 2024 with liberty granted to the petitioner to renew his bail after nine months of framing of the charge.

He also submits that, on the previous occasion, a report with regard to the present stage of the trial, along with a show-cause, was called for as there was a delay in filing the report.

Learned APP for the State submits that this case was received after being transferred to the new Court, which has submitted a report stating that the case was received in his Court on 06.06.2025, but prior to that, the examination of three witnesses had already taken place. Counsel further submits that since it is a new Court, a short time may be granted to him to examine the witnesses.
6. It transpires to this Court that the present case relates to Nalanda District and that the accused has been in custody since 15.06.2023.
7. Speedy trial is a constitutional vision of justice. For this reason, the Superintendent of Police, Nalanda, is hereby directed to take necessary action by instructing the concerned SHO/IO to ensure the production of the charge-sheet witnesses before the Trial Court in connection with Deepnagar P.S. Case No. 231 of 2023 at the earliest, so that the trial may be concluded within three months.

8. In the present facts and circumstances, at this stage, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, the prayer for regular bail of the petitioner is hereby rejected.
9. The Registry is directed to transmit a copy of this order to the Superintendent of Police, Nalanda, through fax, email, or any other mode forthwith, and one copy shall also be provided to the learned A.P.P. so that he may communicate this order to the Superintendent of Police, Nalanda at his level in this regard.
