2. The petitioner has approached this Court seeking a direction upon the respondent authorities to accept his joining on the post of Vikas Mitra, whose service has been dispensed with and cancelled by the order as contained in Memo No. 1433 dated 08.10.2024.

3. Learned counsel for the petitioner, referring to the averments made in the writ petition has contended that the petitioner was duly appointed on 23.03.2010 on the post of Vikas Mitra vide letter no. 22 issued by the Sub-Divisional

Having worked for over a period of seven years, the petitioner, all of a sudden suffered with serious mental ailment due to which he has undergone prolonged treatment since 2017 to 2024. After having duly cured from such mental illness, the petitioner approached before the authorities concerned to allow him to continue on his post; then only he came to know his service has already been dispensed with by the order dated 08.10.2024, as afore-noted.

Learned counsel for the State and the learned counsel for the respondent no.6 have apprised this Court that initially the very appointment of the petitioner was made on contractual basis only for 11 months; however, later on, the period of contract of all the Vikas Mitra has been extended up to 60 years. The case in hand clearly suggests that the petitioner left his job way back in the year 2017 without any information and thereupon several notices were issued to him but the same went unresponded. In the aforesaid premise, the order of termination came to be passed by the respondent no.4.

Having heard the learned counsel for the respective parties and on being found that the petitioner voluntarily left his job way back in the year 2017, without any prior information, which resulted in the serious impediment in execution of welfare schemes of the government and now after seven years he has approached this Court, that too without assailing the
